Antique tractors and gas engines are all lined up for the Antique Tractor & Gas Engines Show. The list of antiques at display during this annual event also include grinding machine, vintage tractors, antique garden tools, and garden tractors to name a few.
This annual event is a wonderful opportunity for antique collectors to not only fulfill their hobby dreams but also preserve history.

One of the engines belonged to his great-grandfather. The others he bought from flea markets. He has a few more he keeps at home, some dating back to the 1930s.
“I just like old stuff,” Wuest said of his collection.
The engines have to be turned on by hand with a crank or by pulling a cord. It took Wuest a few times to finally get the engines roaring. The sound was not as loud as they would normally be because he added a tin can at the bases of a couple engines to serve as a muffler.
Collectors of antique farm equipment do so as a hobby and, for Forney, it is a way to preserve history.
“We’ve got to keep things alive and keep it going,” he said.
And nothing really beats being able to see the equipment up close and working, like what is done at the show in Columbus, Forney said. That’s better than seeing photos or looking at antiques in museums.
The event is sponsored by The Antique Tractor and Gas Engine Show, Inc.
