The Ohio Valley Gold and Silver event will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Friday, April 6 at Hampton Inn, 109 S. Galena Ave., Freeport.
Members of the community can bring in gold, silver, and collectible items for selling them to collectors from around the globe.
“Gold and silver markets have not been this strong for over 30 years,” Ohio Valley spokesperson Dennis Kouts said in a press release.
The event is free and there is no limit on the number of pieces that can be brought for sale and highly sought after items include paper currency, coins, war memorabilia, vintage jewelry, musical instruments, and toys made before 1970.
