At Litchfield County Auctions’ annual Winter Antiques Sale, more than 1,000 lots of decorations, paintings and American, English, and Continental furniture will be on the block.
The expected top lot in the auction is a Roman Imperial gilt bronze bust of Castor or Pollux, 1st to 2nd century AD that carries a presale estimate of $100,000 to $150,000.
Another highlight is a collection of early American furniture and decorative arts that focuses on Connecticut, specifically Litchfield County-made objects.
Bidding closes on February 15 at iGavelauctions.com. A live auction preview and estates tag sale will be held on February 10-14 at the Litchfield County Auctions gallery, 425 Bantam Road, Litchfield.
